Hope everyone is doing well. Our new Quartermaster Charlette Underwood is on board and doing well. I'd like to thank Jim Giles for being available to assist with any information Charlette might need in the future.
I attended the Fall Conference in Decauter on October 15th - 16th. The VFW Programs were covered along with membership, and all committees met and discussed VFW business.

Best wishes and hope everyone is in good health and spirits. Membership is at 82.17% and growing.
As you know I'm active every day in conducting membership activities to get new VFW Members. I'm also working on the List of Unpaid Members that has 189 unpaid members on it. I also have about eight other VFW Members helping me with the list so we can get as many members back in the fold of the VFW as we can. With all eight of us working on the list we should be able to make a big dent in the list. I'm putting a copy of the list on our board so if you know anyone on the list please help us getting people to rejoin the VFW and repay there due's. We are trying to get them to pay there due's early so we can be in the runing for All American. Thanks!
On 15th-16th October, 2011 VFW Commander Tim Beebe attended the Fall Conference in Decautur, AL.
On 13-16 October Department of Alabama State Senior Vice Commander Jim Lorenzo, the new State Jr. Vice Commander Valentin (Val) Obregon, and C.J. Watson the new State Quatermaster attended the State Jr. Vice Commander School in Kansas City, MO.
On 29 October, 2011 we had a Jim "Jumper" Giles Benifit Poker Run that was sponsored by VOVMC and the VRW Riders of VFW Post 924. We raised $1303.00 cash plus $125.00 in Gift Cards for Jim Giles. We hope to have more money to come later. Many thanks go to all the members of VOVMC, The VFW Riders, the members of the ladies Auxiliary, and all the business's that helped with donations for the Poker Run. A lot of planing was required for the run, but with teamwork it turned out good.
On the night of 29 October, 2011 we had a Holloween Party at your post VFW 924. We also had a holloween party Costume Contest with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
