Dear Comrades,
Happy New Year to all. I hope that you had a very Merry Christmas and that you are all doing well.
Some of the things that YOUR post accomplished in December included: Tim Beebe laid the wreath at the Wreaths Across America ceremonies. The flag for the Color Guard was delivered by the Patriot Guard Riders who include our VFW Riders and Veterans of Vietnam Motorcycle Club.
The Ladies Auxiliary held a children's Christmas Party for the children of our four adopted units, boy scouts and children/grandchildren of our own members. Thank you Ladies Auxiliary for doing such a fine job.
Additionally, YOUR post was chosen for a wedding reception which added a little extra income for YOUR post.
The New Year's Eve Party was a huge success with a sold out crowd. A good time was had by all.
Due to some changes in late December, the monthly membership meeting on January 14 will include nominations for Junior Vice Commander and the two year House Committee Member. Elections of the replacement members will be during the February membership meeting.

Greetings again everyone,
I hope that all of you had a very Merry Christmas and also that you have a Happy and Prosperous New Year. May 2012 bring you all the happiness you desire.
Christmas was of course the celebration of the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. I hope that we all remembered that.
As our troops are being withdrawn from Iraq, let us remember them all in our prayers that they have a safe journey home to their loved ones. Also, we cannot forget to continue praying for our troops still in Afghanistan and other parts of the world as they defend our freedoms.
All of us have served, and now they have relieved us. Lets not forget any of them.
Continue to pray for the leadership of our post as there have been some rapid changes and they need all our prayers and support.
Thank you,
Yours in Christ,
Dave Nichols

Ladies Auxiliary
Christmas Season is over and the New Year is upon us. Let us all strive to make the coming year even better for our Veterans and their families.
Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make our Children's Christmas Party a great success! Special thanks to Ken Taylor for arranging for Santa Claus to take time out of his busy schedule to pay us a very special visit. All of the children were so very happy to see him!
On December 10 during our regular meeting, we had our annual Auxiliary Christmas Party. Everyone had a good time and the meal following was superb as usual.
Also, on the 10 th the Wreaths Across America ceremony at the Fort McClellan Cemetery paid tribute to our fallen. It was a very moving ceremony and anyone who can, should try to be involved next year.
Our next auxiliary meeting will be January 14, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Post 924. Just as a reminder, our meetings are every 2 nd Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
Mid Winter Conference is scheduled for January 19 through 21 in Elberta, Alabama.
I hope you all have a Happy New Year!
Yours in Service
Carol Lorenzo
Auxiliary President
